Words from the young

Miss A, who is almost 21 months old, after 5 or so minutes of waiting for me to get her some juice, "I want JUICE mommy!" I could completely understand every word she said.

Zman: "I'm a superhero, I'm really strong and I can fly."
Me: " Wow, what would be really cool is if you had the superpower to clean up your room."
long pause
Zman: shrug " I don't have that power."

LOOK!!!

My in person friend over at 4under3, Tiffany blessed me with a surprise gift today. It is sooo cute and since I am a big time coffee drinker it goes well with my addiction travel mugs. She is so darn crafty, she just whipped this right up for me. Thanks Tiff! Which mug do you like it on better?

Hello!!!

So it has been awhile, okay almost 2 months, we've been busy what can I say? I would really like to say that I will be blogging more often but we all know that I probably won't so come back from time to time and there might be something new or a few things new. Like today!

Zman got a rubber lizard at church on Wednesday night, he named it Window. On Thursday he ripped one of Window's arms/legs off and asked if I could fix it. Me being the nice mom that I am said I would see what we could do and put it aside. Later that night I convinced Daddy that he needed to perform surgery on Window and reattach his limb. Zman was very pleased with the surgery and Window is recovering nicely. I'm not sure that we can ever dispose of this 10cent toy now, Daddy might get upset! Here are pics from the surgery.

Am I really a Hockey mom?

Zman is officially a hockey player. He has all the equipment and has now been on the ice 3 times. He doesn't know how to skate yet, but I am sure before the end of the year he will be a pro. Daddy is very proud of him and is excited that they can now share hockey. I will keep you posted on how he does!

My good friend, I mean the lady that I bloggy stalk Fiddledeedee, she doesn't really know that we are friends. Anyway, she has been nominated for the funniest blog thing and since I personally think she is just about the funniest read out there I thought I would encourge all 12 people that read my blog to vote for her. So push the little button right down there and find her under “Funniest Homeschool Blog.” and choose her. Don't even bother reading the others, I'm sure that they are not funny at all. So go...Vote!

So when your mom grows up in sunny Southern California it's no wonder that she dresses you like this for the first snow fall.

Notice the jammies and rain boots.

Don't they look cute!!!

Maybe we should have found the mittens?

Meme... Playing along

My dear Friend Tara is playing so I thought I would too. She found this meme on the infamous Rocks In My Dryer blog this morning. I know I'm a little late, but oh well at least it is still Labor Day.
Now, on to the fun!

How long were your labors?

Kid #1, Approx. 3days and 10 hours.
Kid #2, 10ish hours

How did you know you were in labor?

Kid #1, My water broke at 25 weeks 2 days and the doctors tried for 3 and a half days to stop it.
Kid #2, The PAIN evey couple of minutes

Where did you deliver?

Baby #1 Huge hospital in our City
Baby #2 same place

Drugs?

None!!!

C-section?

No all natural

Who delivered?

Baby # 1 I had a full team and 3 including the NICU staff, but I think it was the Chief Resident that actually delievered him.
Baby #2 it was a midwife I had never even meet before that night.

If you want to play along with this meme, just cut and paste the questions into your own blog, and leave your link with Shannon.

(Tara here, hijacking Mel's blog. Shannon has closed links since Mel is a little tardy with her assignment. I'm going to post this for Mel since she's not around to stop me!)

Funny Boy!!!

Mommy: "Zman did you give your puppy her food?"
ZMan: "yes!"
Mommy: "Did you put it in her food bowl or the water bowl?"
Zman: "Food bowl."
Mommy: "So you didn't put it in the water?"
Zman: "Mommy you put her water in the wrong bowl!"

The bowls are exactly the same and I gave her the water first!!!

Been Awhile!!!

We have been very busy around here. We drove half way 2 weeks ago to pick up our 15 year old niece. It was a long day for all of us. It has been really nice to have Bam with us, she has been very helpful most of the time.

Her and I don't always see eye to eye on everything. My sister, her mom was nice enough to send her without a swimsuit for the summer. So guess who had the job privelage to go swimsuit shopping with a 15 year old girl. You guessed good ole auntie here. I wanted to pull my hair out or maybe hers. We finally were able to find some thing that covered enough of her that I did want to throw a blanket over her but still stylish enough that she would agree to be seen in it. I was thinking 1950ish, she was thinking sports illustrated. I'm hoping we will find a nice all girls pool to enjoy this summer.

So I'm off to find rest, I'm hoping it is hiding somewhere in my bed and will stay with me until at least 9am tomorrow. Or until one of the little ones needs me I guess. Can't Miss A get her own breakfast she is over 13 months now!

New Ride!!!

So, I felt very bad for ole Batman and headless Spiderman, that they had to sport that oh so cool mini van. While out garage saleing (is this a word?) we found this new ride for the guys. Z man was not so pleased with the photo shot, so the pics aren't that great. I guess I should check with their manager first next time. Boy! Those superheros!

Superhero spotting!!!

Did you know that Batman now drives a purple and pink mini van? At least that is what Z man thinks. Oh and he has to bring headless Spiderman along for the ride too.

The kids spent a little time at a friends house yesterday afternoon and the 5 year old girl thought that Miss A needed to borrow the "GIRL" van. So here it is at our home being played with by the BOY!

I'm sure that the bad guys won't see them coming!

Last weekend we had the great joy of celebrating Miss A's first Birthday. We had some close friends over to help celebrate. I can't believe that she is already 1! WOW!!!

She really enjoyed the princess cupcake that was bought just for her. That "Auntie" Sarah, knew just what she would want. At first she was very delicate with it, taking little nibbles but before to long she really got into it. She was even licking her tray once the cake was gone. It was hilarious!

The Following day was so beautiful that we had to get out in the evening. So we loaded up the kids in the bike trailer and biked to a nearby park to picnic and play. Z man really enjoyed himself. He loves this slide and the facial expressions he makes are priceless. I love seeing his just enjoy life.

Here's Miss A enjoying the toddler slide. She slide herself down after a few Mommy assisted trips. It made me a little nervous let me tell you. But she loved it, so I must stand back ever so slightly and let her grow. I will be ok, I am sure?.

Spring At Last!

This weekend was great, warmer weather & sunshine. Our family took a little trip and enjoyed an afternoon at the (small) Zoo. It was fun Z man seemed to enjoy the animals and just being out and Miss A is definitely a people watcher. All and all we had lots of fun. I look forward to many more days being out and enjoying the weather.

Tickled Pink!

Several years ago I was blessed with a weekend away and enjoyed my first Women of Faith Conference. The experience was invigorating and filled me with a renewed spirit focused on Christ. I loved every moment of the weekend(except maybe the hotel). One of my favorite speakers at the event was this energetic, spunky little lady named Patsy Clairmont, whom I adored the moment she started sharing her story. She has been blessed with the ability to draw you in and make you feel like you have been girlfriends forever. She is both motivating and hysterical. I have thoroughly enjoyed every opportunity I have had to hear her speak. She is also as gifted in her writing. So when I opened up my blog and viewed the comments to my last post I was completely and absolutely TICKLED PINK! Patsy Clairmont herself left me a comment!

So really I am not that popular, but she is. I happened to leave her a very helpful comment on her blog, and she was kind enough to respond back. Boy, I love the internet. So here's to you Patsy, for making this ordinary stay at home mom's day. Thanks!

Time Needed

Today we had a chance to meet up with a friend and her 4 under 3, well one is now 3, at the indoor playground. It was a fun time. Z man needed to get some running around in. He also likes to play on the computers they have available. All in all it went well. That was our fun for the week or maybe we will venture out on Friday. I hope the weather keeps warming up, it is currently 41 degrees.

I have included a pic today of little Miss A in her Easter best.

Why at the Mall????

So today the hubby, Mr.Z and Little Miss A and I went out to run a few errands and play some. One of our stops was the local mall, Mr Z loves to play with Thomas at the Barnes & Noble. While sitting watching him play little Miss A. decided that she should vomit all over the stroller. Poor girl looked bad too. I got her up, cleaned her and offered a little mommy milk, she feel asleep. Shortly after that we head for the car. She woke and vomit all over me and herself, we caught all of it with our clothes and the blanket so at least I didn't slip on it. We went to the family restroom were the hubby could help me get us cleaned up a little, I had to take off my blouse, thankfully I had a tank top on underneath, and at least the wind chill isn't -50 today. Little Miss was very wet at this point, but I didn't pack a second outfit, my mom is probably saying to herself, "I told her she should carry a change of clothes for those kids!" We left the restroom with a pile of paper towels and rushed for the door. Daddy took Mr. Z, the stroller and all our stuff and left to get the car. I sat with Little Miss A and received more vomit surprises while I tried to coat her and myself. Needless to say we both were stripped and changed when we got home. Poor girl is still not feeling well. I'm sure it will be a long night!
